Albis Technologies ACCEED Ethernet First Mile equipment achieves MEF Certification
Albis strengthens its leading position and commitment to providing MEF compliant and certified products
28th July, 2010, Zurich, Switzerland.– Albis Technologies, a world-leading technology company engaged in the development and marketing of innovative electronic systems, today announced that its `Universal Line Access Family` (ULAF+) ACCEED 1416 and 1404 equipment has successfully passed the ‘Metro Ethernet Forum’ (MEF) conformance certification program for Ethernet Private Line (EPL), Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) and Ethernet LAN (ELAN).
Awarded to organisations, whose products complete a rigorous series of tests, the MEF certification verifies the compliance of vendor equipment and services with MEF technical specifications. Since launching in 2005, just over 100 companies, including the world’s leading service providers and telecom equipment vendors, have been approved for certification.
In obtaining MEF 9 and its complementary MEF 14 standards verification Albis Technologies demonstrates the quality of the ULAF+ ACCEED products. The MEF 9 standard defines the Ethernet transmission at the User Network Interface (UNI) while the MEF 14 standard covers service performance, bandwidth profile rate enforcement and traffic management issues in the network.
